Camera tracking
Camera tracking (3D tracking) is a process of video analysis that recreates camera movement in 3D space, and obtains the location of objects in the scene through point clouds.
The 3D camera motion allows you to correctly composite 3D elements over your 2D footage on a post-production. -
Matchmoving
Matchmoving (matchmove) is the process of recreating elements in 3D space so that they exactly repeat the position of objects in the original footage.
We can also match your computer generated elements into live-action footage.
Camera tracking is the first stage of Matchmoving. -
Object tracking
Object tracking (geometry tracking) is an analyzing movement/deformation of an object in the video and transferring its trajectory to 3D space.
Depending on your goals we will track the camera relative to a static object, track the motion of the object relative to a static camera or track the motion of the object relative to a moving camera. -
Rotomation
Rotomation is the process of manually animating a 3D model, frame by frame, over an object or character in footage to accurately replicate movements, match contours, and reproduce the deformations of skin, fabric, and other surfaces.
This process is essential for creating 3D scenes, as it enables the integration of particle simulations, depth, space, shadows, and full integration of CG elements with live-action footage. -
Layout
Layout (blocking) is the process of preparing a 3D scene, which includes:
    - complete reconstruction of the scene or its key elements
    - scaling and orientation of the scene in 3D space
    - scene/project setup (render resolution, overscan, pixel aspect, frame numbering and fps)
    - retime adjustments
    - adding elements and objects provided by other departments
    - merging several cameras into one scene -
On-set VFX supervising
On-set VFX supervising is a shootings technical control, as well as a series of actions aimed at optimizing the further CG production.
The On-set supervisor's tasks include collecting a variety of information such as:
    - camera and lens data
    - distortion grids shootings
    - maintaining VFX sheets
    - scene measurement
    - HDRI and color checker photography
    - reference photo and video
    - shooting and creating photogrammetry
    - setting up stands and markers for camera tracking
    - control of green/bluescreen lighting
    - glare and reflection controlling
    - avoiding unwanted objects in the frame, etc.
High-quality On-set supervisor work speeds up and simplifies CG production work, making it more predictable and controllable -
VFX Pre-production
Working together with the director, DoP, producer and VFX supervisor, we are happy to dive into all the aspects of the shooting process and help you develop the best technical solutions that will drastically save time in post-production.

Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry (photoscan) is the process of creating a 3D model from still photos.
Photogrammetry helps to create proxy models for better camera tracking, layout and other CG department purposes.

F.A.Q.
How to send you materials for a quote?
Write us to solveme@matchmovemachine.com
Include a preview of your materials with a description of the task and the desired timeline, and provide as much information as you have:
    - camera, lens data
    - fps
    - distortion grids or lens presets
    - measurements
    - reference photo and video
    - proxy geo
    - one frame to check metadata
How do you calculate the price?
We calculate the cost based on complexity.
We do not count man-hours, because several people can work on the shot simultaneously and their total time will be more than the actual time to complete the work.
Do you provide a discount on a batch?
When you provide 10 or more shots in one project, we give you a discount, because it speeds up the ingest time and saves you and us time.
What are your payment terms?
We work with current clients on a post-payment basis.
If a project lasts more than one month, we require signing of documents for the volume already completed and expect payment within 5 working days.
If you are a new client and we don't have any mutual connections who can make a recommendation, for the first time we will ask you to pay after showing a tracking preview of your scenes.
What country are you from?
The studio was formed in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City).
How many people are in the studio?
Most likely you are not interested in the number of people, but the number of shots for which we can give you daily tracking.
For simple shots now it is about 5 exports, for medium shots about 3.
How is privacy maintained?
Your files are securely protected - we use TPN standards for content security.
We sign an NDA with all clients, and NDA is also signed with all our employees (we will send you a sample upon request).
What is your work schedule?
Tracking your shots 24/7, since our team is located in different time zones. We process your orders within 6 hours.
Feel free to email to us on weekends and holidays.
How fast will you do my shot?
We'll let you know the approximate production time at the evaluation stage. If your task is urgent, please write about it in your application with indication of redline.
